office space for rentI have to say, the new office space for rent is quite the sight.  We have some of the cubicles and desks set up but most of the space is still bare.  Upon entering the entrance it looks like a small dance studio but without the dancing rails and large mirrors.  The light wooden floorboards are shining and it looks like they have been freshly cleaned and waxed.  Look to the right and there is one L-shaped room with windows and its own bathroom.  But when looking to the left of the entrance is my absolute favorite part of the office: the large windows overlooking the street.  It does not look like we will be wanting for natural light any time soon.

There is another small hallway to the right of our new office space for rent with three additional rooms.  There is already a plan to make the closest room in the hall the office kitchen.  In fact, there is already a water cooler (unplugged) and a table with a coffee maker (plugged) set up.  The overall plan is to set up cubicles, desks, and computers for five to six departments on the main floor of the new office space and everyone else in the other rooms.

I suspect the company will be staying in this new office for a long time to come.

Houston office space“I heard your company is planning on moving out of the office.”

“Yeah.”

“Congrats man.  That means you guys are moving up in the world.”

“True.  But we still need to find a new place to move to.”

“You guys have not found a place yet?  That is surprising.”

“Yeah.  And the lease to our current office is ending soon.  I think the lease ends in two months at most.”

“Ouch.  Any ideas where?”

“We have been talking about it since the news broke but no one has any concrete ideas.”

“I have an idea, your company should look into an office space Houston.”

“I guess..”

“Think about it for a second.  Your current office is only about a dozen miles from Houston and many of your employees live there anyway.  It will be a very easy and convenient commute for those guys. ”

“True enough.”

“Also, the city is seeing a resurgence of sorts and land development is really booming.  There will be a lot of opportunities for your company to not only physically grow, but expand its market to the city and beyond.”

“You do have a point.  I will bring up the idea of a Houston office space with the other department heads, managers, and owners.”

Warehouse space for rentFor growing businesses, physically expanding both staff and available space can be quite frustrating.  As a company continues to hire more people, they are obviously going to need equipment with which to do their work.  They are going to need new computers, chairs, desks, printers, fax machines, copiers, and other sorts of equipment.  Thankfully, you can always look for a warehouse space for rent.

Having a new warehouse space will allow you to increase the office space properly.  That side of the office where you keep all the cardboard boxes and extra equipment you do not need can be emptied and put to good use by setting up desks, chairs, and employees.  Then you can put those boxes, extra towers and monitors and other stuff into the new warehouse space.  You can even use the new space to conduct business from.

If you are a shipping company or a merchant that transports bulk items, getting a new warehouse for rent is in your best interest.  You can hold potentially more stuff and can even increase the amount of business you can do and orders to process.  You never have to fear running out of your merchandise.

Consider for the moment how renting a new warehouse space will positively affect your business.

Office space for rentCongratulations!  You finally got that venture capital you have been working for months and years to obtain.  Now that you have a business plan, financial backing, employees, and finished paperwork what else do you need?  The obvious answer is that you need a place to conduct business from.  It is almost impossible to house your workforce in your personal home or apartment.  What you need to do now is to look for an office space for rent.

Having an office space of your own legitimizes your company and instills a sense of professionalism amongst your employees.  Having a nice, clean place to start your business will give your employees a chance to celebrate.  The office will be a place where everyone can come together for a single purpose and work hard to achieve it.  For investors or prospective clients, having an office means you are a business person to be taken seriously; you believe in what you are doing and your goals and have a proper place from which to work hard and reach your goals.  You and your colleagues can easily make that office space for rent a second home and personalize it.  In this way, everyone can bond and enjoy working together.

Anyone who as ever had the indignity of searching for an apartment on the internet knows that you really should not put the future of your business in the hands of craigslist. Sure the site might be a grand scheme for getting a filthy couch or paying too much to see Maroon 5 but when it comes to Houston office space to lease you probably want some more expert guidance.

There is also the guidance of the professional real estate investors over at Interra Capital Group. Your office may not be your business. It is really just a shell that you and your company are there to fill with your work, your concepts, and eventually your business. Should it be successful it will come to define the space far more than the space defines you. That said, finding the right space for your business is important.

This does not always mean finding a huge Houston office space for rent. In fact the far more important aspect to consider is probably location. You want to find a space that is appropriate for whatever services your company is providing and also you want it to be in a place where those services are needed. Of course you also have competition to consider. If several competitors are already making their home in a neighborhood perhaps you should consider an area that could use some more conveniently available version of what you offer.

Understanding the neighborhood you are choosing before you dive into Houston office leasing is incredibly important. Over time location will help to define your business far more than the space itself. It will dictate which customers come to you and how easily you will be able service a given area.

If you are a company of course you need office space. You have to have a place for your employees to work out of. You need someplace to bring clients when trying to tout the abilities of your business. Of course, the other thing you may need depending on exactly what type of business you are is warehouse space. If you are manufacturing and selling consumer goods chances are you will need an area to keep all of that stuff.

Luckily, it is likely the same folks who helped you find that Houston office space have plenty of warehouse space for rent. That is the case at least if you went with the honest office experts over at Interra Management Co. Finding the right warehouse space for rent for your company should not be a terrible chore as long as you know your needs and can easily express them to those looking to rent out space.

Once you find your company some warehouse space and free whatever storage space you were taking up in your home or office, you will be surprised at how much more space you have for yourself and your employees. With all that warehouse space being used it will also be easier to keep tracking of all of your merchandise.

Making the most of your office space will allow you to stay put for a long time. This is a huge advantage for a business because while the perception of growth is important (nearly as important as the reality) it can be incredibly easy to bite off more than your company can chew.

New companies can take years to develop but if you feel your new company growing incredibly quickly it might be of some interest to keep things like your location and overhead stable until you settle into some sort of consistent level of growth. Chances are your business will have a number of periods of growth and relative stagnation before settling into its groove.

Houston office space comes with built in cachet no matter how big it is. You are playing in one of the busiest business markets in the country and that is far from anything to sneeze at. So before you go shopping around for an even larger Houston office space for rent you may want to focus on factors that can more effectively maintain your current level of growth.

Of course when the time is right to shop for larger Houston office space for rent you will be more prepared and you will better understand exactly what your start-up needs.

lease office space HoustonWhen searching for Houston commercial real estate, location and size are huge factors to consider when making a decision. While the actual size of the space is very important, don’t forget to factor in the physical layout of the space. You may have a ton of space, but will it work for your company? A larger company may prefer to have a handful of rooms that are sectioned off as opposed to a completely open layout. This gives each department some privacy so everyone doesn’t feel completely on top of each other.

There needs to be a correct “flow” to the office. Will it be easy for people to walk through the office and feel like there is some sort of organization or do you think people will still be lost after two weeks? Find out if you’re allowed to make any changes to the layout of the office space. Is tearing down a few walls okay or must everything stay exactly as is? Can you do some repainting and decorating? These are important questions to ask when searching for office space for rent. Your office should almost feel like a second home. It needs to be a comfortable work environment where everyone can feel happy in their space.
